Bovine Programs~ Highland calves!
Email: sessions_wlf@myyahoo.com
The history of Highland cattle can be traced back over a thousand years, with roots firmly planted in the challenging terrain of the Scottish Highlands. These cattle are believed to have descended from the ancient Bos taurus primigenius, the wild aurochs.
Known for their calm disposition, Highlands are ideal for therapeutic programs when raised with daily human contact, halter-trained young, and handled with patience.
Bovine therapeutic activities offers participants the opportunity to learn about cow husbandry or the basic health and knowledge of raising cows, such as feeding, deworming, hoof trimming, and vaccinating while at the same time giving them the opportunity to team with calves to train them through problem-solving activities based on trust and positive reinforcement.
Problem-solving and goal setting guides highland calf sessions~ whether increasing mobility & dexterity or confidence building, Gertie and Noah are ready to partner with you!
